Studenten in dit opleidingsprogramma doen praktische ervaring op in de scheepsarcheologie. Dit jaar wordt onderzoek gedaan naar een binnenvrachtschip (ZK46) dat rond 1800 is vergaan met een lading turf. Het wrak bevindt zich in de wijk Oosterwold, Almere.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Programma: workshops en opgraving<br\/><\/strong>Het programma van de Veldschool Scheepsarcheologie Flevoland is tweeledig; in\u00a0Museum Batavialand\u00a0volgen studenten o.a. workshops over de conservering van schepen en scheepsinventarissen, en over het beheer van de maritiem archeologische collectie in het Nationaal Scheepsarcheologisch Depot. Daarnaast werken ze mee aan het archeologisch onderzoek bij de opgraving van binnenvrachtschip ZK26.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Binnenvrachtschepen<br\/><\/strong>Ongeveer de helft van alle scheepswrakken in het Zuiderzeegebied zijn vrachtschepen. Zij vertellen een grotendeels ongeschreven geschiedenis over het binnenlandse transport van bulkgoederen over de binnenzee. Turfvaart vormde de voornaamste energievoorziening in de vroegmoderne tijd (1550 tot 1800). Het is een belangrijk onderwerp in onze samenleving, vooral ook nu. Tevens zijn vele vondsten en wrakken van binnenvaartschepen te zien in Museum Batavialand.<br\/><br\/><strong>Open dag voor publiek 22 augustus<br\/><\/strong>Zaterdag 22 augustus van 11.00 \u2013 15.00 uur is er gelegenheid te komen kijken naar de opgraving. Studenten leiden bezoekers rond en vertellen over het scheepswrak. Het is een unieke kans om een opgraving te bezoeken en de verhalen van onderzoekers te horen. Tevens is er een ArcheoMarkt te bezoeken met kramen van de gemeente Almere, provincie Flevoland, Museum Batavialand, de AWN en de RCE.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aanmelden voor een bezoek aan de opgraving is verplicht. Alleen binnen dit tijdslot is de opgraving te bezoeken.
