Then we are looking for you! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>As a <strong>SPACERUNNER<\/strong> you will contribute to the content of SPACES and make a difference. Together with other young people you will form the youth council of the project. You will help create an exhibition and work with an artist on a work of art that really means something.  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will learn about art, culture and the history of your province<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will gain experience in museums and cultural projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You program, organize and create<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will receive compensation for your efforts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We provide the pizza<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:42px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dates &amp; Locations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Choose your spot and participate in at least 2 meetings:<br\/>\ud83d\udccd <em>M. Developed by Museum Batavialand and partners, the program aligns with cultural and social learning goals. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Development &amp; Education<\/strong><br\/>Youth develop research skills, reflect on their identity and environment, learn to collaborate and present.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <strong>Civic engagement<\/strong><br\/>From personal stories to big issues like climate, inclusion and migration, young people connect the past with the present as well as the future.<br\/><br\/><strong>Curriculum linkage<\/strong><br\/>SPACES can be used for:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CKV and art subjects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citizenship and civics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>History and heritage education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#meer-weten\">Request more information<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Annual themes<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>2025 &#8211; <em>My Space<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Who are you? How do you show yourself? Young people explore their identity in relation to their surroundings &#8211; physical and online &#8211; using stories from the past, such as the inhabitants of the Swifterbant culture, fishermen on the Zuiderzee and pioneers on new land. <\/p>\n\n<p>Themes: identity, (digital) visibility, social influences<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>2026 &#8211; <em>Your Space<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>How do you give space to another? Young people engage in dialogue about migration, diversity and living together. What do collections tell us about meeting, leaving and coming home?  <\/p>\n\n<p>Themes: inclusion, cultural diversity, living together<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>2027 &#8211; <em>Our Space<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>What makes a society livable? Young people look at the design of Flevoland and work with community partners on topics such as housing shortage, sustainability and giving voice to different perspectives. <\/p>\n\n<p>Themes: living environment, participation, civic engagement<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>2028 &#8211; <em>Future Space<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>What is your vision of the future for Flevoland? Young people bring all their experiences together in a work of art and public presentation that reveals their vision of a sustainable future. <\/p>\n\n<p>Themes: climate change, sustainability, future thinking<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">XL projects and public presentations<\/h2>\n\n<p>Each year ends with a <strong>major project in public space<\/strong>: a work of art or performance in which young people showcase what they have discovered, created or learned. These are publicly accessible and are the beating heart of SPACES. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the museums behind SPACES<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong>Museum Batavialand &#8211; Lelystad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>At Museum Batavialand you will dive into the extraordinary history of land and water. Here you will discover how Flevoland emerged from the sea, admire ancient shipwrecks and step aboard the Batavia &#8211; an impressive VOC ship. At the shipyard you will see craftsmen at work and the past come to life. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this former island in the Zuiderzee tells the story of habitation, departure and resilience.
