Provincial Archaeological Depot Flevoland

Provincial Archaeological Depot Flevoland

The Provincial Archaeological Depot (PAD) Flevoland manages and preserves all archaeological finds made within Flevoland.
The term 'archaeological finds' includes all material heritage that is excavated. This material heritage has ended up in the ground over the centuries due to human activity.

With the draining and cultivation of the land in Flevoland, many finds have come to light. These date from various periods from Prehistory to the Modern Age. Recently, objects from various excavations have been added to the collection, and currently, the PAD receives a lot of material from archaeological preliminary investigations at construction sites.

The PAD Flevoland is accessible for researchers. Scientists and students have the opportunity to conduct research on the collection. Cultural institutions are provided with objects on loan, making part of the collection visible outside Flevoland as well.
