Accessibility

Museum Batavialand wants everyone to be able to enjoy the stories you can discover with us. This is why we offer as much accessibility and practical facilities as possible, so that even visitors with mobility or wheelchair limitations can have a carefree day.

Access to the exhibition space

The exhibition rooms are wheelchair-friendly and equipped with wide paths, an elevator and adapted toilets. Here you will discover the fascinating history of Flevoland in a comfortable way.

Site visit

The shipyard is wheelchair accessible, although some of the paths are unpaved. Almost all crafts are easily accessible. Unfortunately, the sail loft can only be visited by stairs.

The Batavia

The Batavia is an authentic reconstruction of a 17th-century ship and therefore not accessible to wheelchairs. Visitors with mobility problems should note narrow passages, steep stairs and low ceilings.
