The Flevoland Provincial Archaeological Depot manages and preserves all archaeological soil finds made during archaeological investigations in the province. Flevoland Province is the owner of the finds.
Many finds were discovered during the reclamation of Flevoland. The objects range from prehistoric tools to objects from the New Age and World War II. Through human activity, these items ended up in the ground. This has created a unique collection, which continues to grow through archaeological research in Flevoland.
Research and loan
The depot is open to scholars, students and cultural institutions by appointment. Researchers can study the collection, while museums and other institutions can receive objects on loan. In this way, these finds are not only preserved but also shared with the public.
Digitally, part of the collection is accessible via collectienederland.nl
