The Batavia is 40 years old and we are celebrating with extra activities for young and old. Come discover, play, learn and experience together – everything is included with your ticket. Moreover, your visit can easily be combined with a day of shopping in Batavia Stad, where you can also park easily.
Meet historical figures – Oct 25 & 26
Step aboard during the living history weekend and come face to face with sailors, soldiers and craftsmen from the 17th century. They’ll tell you all about their lives on board.
Do it yourself at the yard
Learn to tie knots, forge with real fire, work wood or help hoist the sails. Every day there is something to make or try out!
Cannon Shooting – Oct 18 and 25
Feel the bang and hear the story!
On several days there will be demonstrations with the cannon aboard the Batavia.
