Agenda Special tour – Discover the Batavia with your hands

During the Week of Accessibility, Museum Batavialand organizes a special tour for the blind and visually impaired. During this tour you will experience the story of the Batavia and the historic shipyard in a unique way: with your hands.
An enthusiastic museum docent will take you around Batavialand’s historic shipyard.
Along the way, you will feel special models, such as a scale model of the ship De Zeven Provinciën and other tactile objects made especially for this tour.
You will visit special places in the shipyard, such as the water ship, the sail loft and the rigging shop – places where you can really experience crafts.
If you want, you can also go on the VOC ship the Batavia afterwards, for an extra tactile experience on board.
