Mural About Museum Batavialand

Lelystad has gained a special addition. An impressive mural about Museum Batavialand, created by renowned Greek street artist Dimitrios Trimintzios, better known as Taxis, has been unveiled on the Agoraweg in Lelystad. This mural is not just an artwork; it tells the story of the history and future of Flevoland, connecting the past with the present.

The Mural: Imagination of Flevoland

The mural’s design centers on a mother figure and her child, symbols of new life and the pioneering spirit of Flevoland’s first inhabitants. The artwork also contains elements that refer to both historic and modern Flevoland, such as shipwrecks and contemporary buildings. The dike in the painting emphasizes the region’s ongoing struggle against water.
