From July 4 through August 30, 2026, Museum Batavialand will be brimming with summer activities. Play, explore, and roll up your sleeves. And be sure to come aboard the Batavia. After 31 years at the dock, the ship will be taken out of the water toward the end of this summer.
Feel the Batavia come to life
As long as the Batavia is in the water, the ship moves with the wind and the waves. You can feel the deck beneath your feet and hear the wood creak. Soon, the Batavia will be moved to a new location on land. It will certainly remain impressive, but this sense of life will never return.
