Batavia Maintenance Volunteer

Would you like to help preserve a piece of history? Museum Batavialand is looking for hands-on volunteers who want to work with us to maintain the impressive reconstruction of the Batavia.

What will you be doing?

As a maintenance volunteer, you’ll help with painting, woodworking, and repairs on this unique ship. You’ll use both hand tools and power tools to keep the Batavia in top condition. The work takes place both indoors and outdoors—an ideal role for anyone who likes to roll up their sleeves and get to work.

What do we expect from you?

  • Experience with woodworking or painting is a plus, but not required. Are you handy and eager to learn? Then we’d love to have you!
  • You must be available at least one day a week and occasionally on weekends.
  • You’re in good physical condition and enjoy working as part of a team.

Why become a volunteer at Museum Batavialand?

You’ll be part of an enthusiastic team, working at a special location on a ship with a rich history. It’s a unique opportunity to learn new skills and take pride in what you accomplish together.

Interested?

Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Paula Borst. Email vrijwilligers@batavialand.nl or call 0320 – 22 59 24. Together, we’ll keep the Batavia alive and well!
