Batavia Maintenance Volunteer

Would you like to help preserve a piece of history? Museum Batavialand is looking for handy doers who want to join us in maintaining the impressive reconstruction of the Batavia.

What will you do?

As a maintenance volunteer, you will work on painting, woodworking and repairing this unique ship. You will use both hand tools and power tools to keep the Batavia in top condition. The work takes place inside and outside – an ideal role for those who like to roll up their sleeves.

What do we expect from you?

  • Experience with woodworking or painting is a plus, but not a requirement. Are you handy and eager to learn? Then you are welcome!
  • You are available at least one day a week and occasionally on weekends.
  • You have a good physical condition and enjoy working together in a team.

Why become a volunteer at Museum Batavialand?

You will be part of an enthusiastic team and work in a special location on a ship with a rich history. It is a unique opportunity to learn new skills and be proud of what you accomplish together.

Interested?

Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Miki Weststrate. Email vrijwilligers@batavialand.nl or call 0320 – 22 59 24. Together we keep the Batavia alive and kicking!
